Peach harvest begins in May, peaks in July, and ends in
August. The many varieties allow us to deliver fresh peaches throughout the
summer. One characteristic all peaches share is that touch, not skin color, is the
key to ripeness. To achieve the perfect touch, place peaches in a lightly closed
paper bag and store at room temperature. When they soften slightly, they are ready
to eat. Generally, yellow peaches have the fullest flavor while
white peaches are the sweetest.
